Intra2net Security Gateway 7 featuring WireGuard VPN
Simple setup and VPN client for all platforms
Tuebingen, 21.05.2025 - Security and groupware specialist Intra2net has released version 7 of the Intra2net Security Gateway. Thanks to the integration of WireGuard VPN, customers now benefit from a fast and secure VPN solution with a streamlined architecture. Setting up new connections is particularly easy using the VPN Wizard. The configuration can then be conveniently transferred to the VPN client, on smartphones also via QR code scan. Thanks to automatic IP updating, VPN tunnels remain stable at all times when switching between mobile and WLAN - another advantage for mobile users. The free WireGuard VPN client is available for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Linux across all platforms, ensuring broad compatibility.
To ensure compliance, a centralised audit log system has been integrated that logs the online and offline status of WireGuard and IPsec VPN connections. The configuration of individual connections can also be easily imported and exported. This makes it easier to connect additional locations and third-party products such as the AVM Fritzbox.
DNS-based filter rules for the firewall
With Intra2net Security Gateway 7, the firewall functions have been specifically expanded: Firewall rules now also support DNS names, which can be configured directly via the administration interface. The associated IP addresses are then continuously updated in the background. This simplifies network configuration and makes it possible to make authorisations much more restrictive.
Modernised user interface
Intra2net Security Gateway 7 also features a completely revised user interface. This offers a modern design and improved readability, making it more intuitive to use. The main page is now updated dynamically. This means that information for monitoring the system is continuously available.
Intra2net Security Gateway
Intra2net Security Gateway is a comprehensive UTM (Unified Threat Management) solution for protecting the network, Internet access and e-mail communication. The security gateway offers a multi-level firewall, secure VPN, powerful spam and virus protection as well as flexible web and access control.
The solution is based on a security-optimised Linux and can be operated flexibly on your own systems, as a virtual appliance or on the hardware appliances offered by Intra2net.
Prices and availability
Intra2net Security Gateway 7 is available immediately. A licence for 10 users including software maintenance for twelve months costs 330,- Euro RRP plus VAT.
