Start computers easily from the home office
With Intra2net Business Server 6.9.2, end users use Wake-On-LAN conveniently via browser
Tübingen, 2021-07-07 - The groupware and security specialist Intra2net (www.intra2net.com) now offers an easy-to-use and secure Wake-On-LAN function for end users. The feature enables, for example, the direct start of the office PC from the home office. Other new features in release 6.9.2 for the Intra2net Business Server include the migration of email services from 32- to 64-bit. The update is now available for download for Intra2net customers.
Simply start up computers that are switched off via web browser
With the new Wake-On-LAN function, users can easily and securely remotely start and then connect to computers in the corporate network that have been switched off. To start up, all that is required is to call up a custom URL with a security code that is valid only for the specific computer and can be bookmarked in the browser. Users do not need any technical knowledge or administrator rights to use Wake-On-LAN. The new function allows any computer in the company network to be started remotely at any time.
Migration of the email system to 64-bit architecture
In the course of the new release 6.9.2 of Intra2net Business Server, the email services Cyrus IMAP server and Postfix SMTP server were migrated from 32- to 64-bit and the performance of email processing was increased. At the same time, the 64-bit architecture forms a future-proof basis for upcoming expansions and additionally contributes to increasing system security by hardening the email services.

The new Wake-On-LAN function makes it much easier to access workstation computers and significantly reduces the workload for IT managers. Instead of having to leave computers switched on for days, they are now available when needed", explains Steffen Jarosch, CEO of Intra2net AG.
Prices and availability
The new release 6.9.2 is available now. The corresponding updates are directly available for download for Intra2net customers.
Licenses for the Intra2net Business Server are available from 290,- Euro (license for five users including twelve months software maintenance, non-binding recommended retail price plus VAT).
